Presentation of Plemenka - new tourist route in Podravina

As one of the activities within the EU reVITAlize project, the Koprivnica Town Museum devised a sacral and wine themed route through Podravina called “Plemenka”. Its presentation is scheduled for Saturday, 20 November 2021. There, the possibilities of the digital beacon system and a printed tourist map consisting of 200 pages will be presented. A tour of five wineries in the area is also planned, starting with Kostanjevec Winery near Rasinja in the west, continuing through Pomona Winery in Starigrad, as well as Coner and Matočec Wineries south of Virje and Đurđevac, and finishing with Šipek Winery on Veseli breg near Kozarevac where Plemenka (the world’s oldest documented grapevine) grows. In addition, the route includes numerous natural and culture-historical stories and locations which will be explored during this digitally guided trip. Furthermore, visitors will be introduced to the traditional dishes lovingly prepared by local mothers and grandmothers. All this together will (re)introduce Podravina as an important star on the oenological and tourist map of Croatia.

The program was implemented with European Union funds within the project "Wine folklore as a historical identity of Podravina and Pomurje" (reVITAlize) within the INTERREG V-A cross-border cooperation program Hungary-Croatia 2014-2020.
