The fourth edition of the Koprivnica WineFest was held on 26 June 2021 from 7 to 11 pm in the organization of Nexus Production, the Koprivnica Town Museum and the Association of Wine Enthusiasts 5F, as one of the activities of the reVITAlize project. Due to the current epidemiological measures and restrictions, the festival was held on the terrace of Calypso Pub Koprivnica and in the atrium and hall of the Youth Center Koprivnica. This event started in 2016 as part of the “Koprivnica's Christmas Fairy Tale”. Its second edition was held the following year, then the third one in 2019, and then the continuity was suspended until this occasion due to the corona virus pandemic.
In its last edition, 22 winemakers presented their products, i.e., wineries from Croatia and Hungary. Among the locals were: Kostanjevec from Rasinja, Matočec from Mičetinec, Jušta from Čepelovac, Cik from Virje, Ban from Prugovac, Topolovčan from Kloštar Podravski, Korenko from Križevci, Bovan from Benkovac, Papak from Ilok and the County Association of Winegrowers “Fran Galović”. Hungarian winemakers were represented by Csali from Nemesvita, Hohla from Tótszerdahely and Szent Márton Borbarát Egyesület, Vlasics, Hederics, Prémecz, Rodek, Mihovics, Rodek, Hederics, Huller, Svélecz and Vlasics from Tótszentmárton. The oil mill “Bovan” from Benkovac was also present.
At the event, many visitors had the opportunity to taste and try various types of wines, white and red, rosé and sparkling wines, free of charge and in unlimited quantities, while enjoying a relaxing conversation with all represented winemakers. A young musician from Rasinja, Eric Vidović, provided an amazing background atmosphere, and the event was enriched by a traveling exhibition of the Koprivnica Town Museum which was set in the hall of the Youth Center and entitled “Podravske klijeti Petra Petrovića”. For the needs of this year's edition, a new pop art style visual identity was created by Koprivnica’s academic artist Zvonimir Haramija.
Among those gathered were Mišel Jakšić, the Mayor of the City of Koprivnica and Ksenija Ostriž, his deputy, as well as Nataša Tetec, Dubravka Horvat and Goran Međurečan, members of the board of Komunalac d.o.o. Other guests included most of the lecturers from the Wine Conference, employees of the Koprivnica Town Museum, media representatives and many others from Koprivnica and its surroundings. On the second day of the event, a short get-together was held which included Croatian and Hungarian partners who exchanged experiences from the two activities and presented each other with symbolic gifts. This year's edition received a higher level of quality in the organization and implementation, thanks to the opportunities provided by the EU reVITAlize project. Furthermore, this event has grown into an international one and this is certainly something which organizers will continue working on in the future.
